Privacy policy

Effective October 14, 2026.

Who we are

Services-conseils Monessor inc. (“Monessor”) is a consulting firm based in Montréal, Québec. This policy explains what personal information we collect through monessor.com and in the course of our exchanges, why we collect it and how we protect it, in accordance with Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector and, where it applies, the federal PIPEDA.

Alex Turcotte, Managing Partner, is the person with the highest authority at Monessor and, in that capacity, acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information. For any question or request: privacy [at] monessor.com.

Information we collect

  • Visit statistics: we use Fathom Analytics, a cookie-free audience measurement tool that produces aggregate data (pages viewed, referring site, device type, country) and cannot identify you.
  • Hosting data: our host, Vercel, processes technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run and secure the site.
  • Exchanges with us: when you email or call us, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, contact details, company and the content of your message.
  • Booking a meeting: the “Book a meeting” button leads to a Google Calendar booking page, operated by Google, where you provide your name, email address and any information you find useful.
  • During an engagement: the business information needed to deliver and invoice it.
  • Meeting recordings: with your consent, asked at the start of the meeting, we may record a virtual meeting (Google Meet) to keep accurate notes. Recordings are stored in our Google Workspace account.

The site has no forms, sets no cookies and uses no targeted advertising tools.

Why we use it

  • To answer your questions and schedule our meetings.
  • To prepare, deliver and invoice our engagements, and manage the business relationship.
  • To meet our legal obligations, including tax and accounting.
  • To measure site audience in aggregate and keep the site running and secure.

We do not use your information for other purposes without your consent, unless the law permits or requires it. We never sell it.

Consent

By emailing us, calling us or booking a meeting, you consent to our use of the information you provide for the purposes above. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to privacy [at] monessor.com, subject to our legal and contractual obligations.

Service providers and transfers outside Québec

We rely on a few providers that process information on our behalf:

  • Vercel Inc. (site hosting), in the United States;
  • Google LLC (Google Workspace for email and documents, and the Google Calendar booking page), whose servers may be located outside Québec;
  • Fathom Analytics (aggregate visit statistics, with no information that identifies you);
  • our professional advisers, such as our accountant, who are bound by confidentiality.

Before personal information is communicated outside Québec, we assess whether it will be adequately protected and make sure contractual confidentiality commitments apply.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected. Exchanges that do not lead to an engagement are kept for at most two years. Meeting recordings are kept for at most 90 days, unless they are part of an engagement deliverable. Engagement files and accounting records are kept for the period required by tax law, generally six years after the end of the tax year concerned. The information is then destroyed or anonymized.

Security

We protect personal information with reasonable measures suited to its sensitivity, including access limited to those who need it and the use of services recognized for their security. No transmission over the Internet is, however, entirely secure.

Your rights

By writing to privacy [at] monessor.com, you may:

  • find out whether we hold information about you and access it;
  • have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal;
  • withdraw your consent or ask that the dissemination of your information stop;
  • obtain the information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used technological format.

We respond within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity. We make no decision based exclusively on automated processing of your information.

Confidentiality incidents

We keep a register of confidentiality incidents. If an incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people concerned, and take the necessary steps to limit its consequences.
